Welcome to the website of the Anne Arundel County/Annapolis Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated.  Since the sorority’s founding on November 12, 1992, public service, civic engagement, advancing the welfare and education of youth and leadership development have been hallmarks of our sisterhood’s programs and activities.

On May 16, 2010, the legacy of Lambda Delta Sigma Alumnae Chapter was paved by 11 trailblazers committed to a bold approach to community service programming.  Borrowing operational best practices from the private sector to deliver a business-minded approach to the delivery of community service, individual development and sisterhood, our chapter’s programs are designed to inspire involvement and leave an indelible impression on stakeholders and communities.

The women of the “Legendary” Lambda Delta Sigma Chapter are an impressive tapestry of excellence, including those who are managing successful families and homes, running small businesses, experienced educators, sought after financial and business experts, dedicated government employees, sales and industry experts, medical professionals, technology specialists and attorneys and legal professionals.  I am honored and inspired by the commitment this chapter continues to demonstrate to the mission of our beloved sorority.  The Splendor of our sorors is evident in the execution of the sorority’s programs and of the heart and souls of our members, dedicated to service many with more than 20 years of membership in the sorority.

To our Sorors of Sigma Gamma Rho:  If you are looking for a chapter home, we offer a robust and realist approach to reclamation and reactivation, by offering sorority engagement that uses the benefits of technological advances to encourage sorors to give of their time, talent and treasure to Sigma, in ways that complement their lifestyle.

To our Community Partners and Friends:  The programs of Sigma Gamma Rho address concerns that impact society educationally, civically and economically.  We are certain there are programs and events among our diverse selection of programming that provide opportunities for your participation and collaboration.  Please consider supporting the activities listed on our Events Page and contact us to learn how you can become involved.

Thank you again for your interest in Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and the Lambda Delta Sigma Chapter.  I encourage you to join our mailing list, participate in our service programs and support our initiatives designed to address the needs and challenges of the Anne Arundel County/Annapolis communities, our families and wherever in the world there is a call to serve.
